Cordaid strives for just and sustainable societies in which every person counts. Within our work in post disaster and conflict affected countries we contribute to better accessible, higher quality and more affordable health care for all. We do this in partnership with many stakeholders globally. In the framework of linking our health aims with public and private partnerships we are seeking to extend our funding model. The corporate account manager – health will be directly focused on setting up a funding model within this sector in the Netherlands.

To achieve this Cordaid is looking for a

Corporate Account Manager - Health

(based in The Hague)

As a corporate account manager - health you are part of the Institutional Account Management team and you are responsible for fundraising from corporate donors for our health programme. You build strong relationships with the corporate sector as well as with public private partners that will add value to Cordaid health programming. You create funding opportunities and deliver funds and strategy for identified corporate accounts.

Your tasks

  • Fundraising opportunities through innovative partnerships

 Developing fundraising opportunities for new and innovative partnerships between the Cordaid health unit and public private sector parties with a clear target. Developing a fundraising plan - keeping focus on trends, developments and needs in the fundraising market directly related to the priorities of the health programme. Cooperate with the Manager Institutional Account management and analyse and develop methods with which fundraising can be improved. Leads on the selection and validation of new funding opportunities in close coordination with the health unit.

  • Network of corporate sector contacts and partnership relations

Building and maintaining a network of corporate contacts and partnership relations. Work on existing public private partnership initiatives within the health programme as well as proactively identifying and influencing new and innovative corporate opportunities with both public and private partners.

  • Winning propositions

Developing and pitching propositions related to the project for corporate enterprises. Together with  oversee the role division, planning and communication with the corporate donor and consortium partners in order to achieve a positive outcome for Cordaid. Leads negotiations for specific propositions and uses account contacts to ensure a winning outcome.

  • Project profiling

Making project and theme attractive for target groups. Coordinating content of text and communication material with the Communication Officer and the Health Unit.

  • Compliance check

Providing expert advice to the health unit as how to adhere to corporate donor requirements regarding fund applications and project management and to maintain up-to-date knowledge and relationships with the corporate partner. Provides quality and risk assessment advice to senior management of specific relationships.

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor or master’s degree in international development or equivalent;
  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in corporate fundraising; a network within the corporate segment is highly commendable;
  • You have extensive knowledge of fundraising techniques in the corporate sector for development cooperation and relevant communication channels;
  • You have experience with and knowledge of global health in an international setting;
  • You have writing skills for development of proposals for corporates:
  • You have experience with public private partnerships;
  • You are capable of developing cooperation agreements and know how to collect and exchange information about projects;
  • You have the skills (social and communication) to present projects and to deal with high level corporate managers;
  • You are fluent in English and French;
  • You have an entrepreneurial personality with a drive to perform and a customer focus.

  • a maximum gross monthly salary up to € 4857,- based on a 36-hour working week and depending on years of relevant experience;
  • a holiday allowance of 8% and an end of year allowance of 8.3%;
  • a part-time position (32 hours) initially for one year, with the possibility for extension.
